Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Bouncing down Symonds Yat in a Canadian Symonds Yat rapid is a brief section of bouncy water, bought by the BCU to ensure their availability for canoeists. A number of built stone promontories create eddies that enable canoeists to eddy-hop back up the rapids to run sections repeatedly. This view is from one of the eddies, showing the rapid at low summer flow, and before the recent extensive work (2008) to enhance the value of the rapid to canoeists.
