Summary
[edit]DescriptionBottle necks.jpg | When I was a kid, I loved Al Capp's cartoon "Li'l Abner." It often contained references to something called Kickapoo Joy Juice. When I grew up, I began collecting Kickapoo patent medicines. At the time, many medicines were named after Indian tribes. They were said to be herbal cures handed down from ancient times. Many of these patent medicines were loaded with alcohol. For a while, people taking them actually did feel better. Hence the term "joy juice." |
