English: Pear-shaped bottle, stoneware inlaid pattern, celadon glaze, design of paired chrysanthemum heads in vertical lines within panels 12th Century. This pear-shaped stoneware liquor bottle has an inlaid pattern within panels divided by vertical grooves and ribs into panels and a flaring mouth. The panels have an alternating pattern of chrysanthemum heads and leaves in black and white inlay. The shoulder is defined by the banding of lotus petals, also filled with chrysanthemum flower heads.(from Korean Gallery Label copy) |
