Notes Kia Ora Mineral Water Company (K.O.) Codd's patent bottle The Kia Ora Mineral Water Co. had its premises in Wyndham Street (new brick premises built in 1908), and then in New North Road, Eden Terrace, Auckland. In 1927 the company was purchased by Grey and Menzies. "The attention of consumers of aerated waters and those who like a refreshing beverage is directed to the manufactures of the Kia Ora Mineral Water Company. The company has erected a plant at Eden Terrace, which is fitted up with all the latest machinery, slate tanks and earthenware filters." New Zealand Herald, 1 July 1908 "GREY AND MENZIES, LTD. KIA ORA MINERAL WATER CO. We beg to notify the Customers and General Public that, having purchased the Trade Mark, Bottles and bottled stock of the KIA ORA MINERAL WATER CO, that all Bottles and Boxes bearing the Trade Mark “KIA ORA” are now the property of GREY AND MENZIES, LTD., and such Bottles and Boxes will be credited in the usual manner on return to us. Trusting to be favoured with the valued support accorded to the late KIA ORA CO. (Signed) GREY AND MENZIES. LTD. Eden Crescent. December 10. 1927." Auckland Star, 13 December1927
