KultiiiTersuclie mit verschiedenen Polemoniaceen-Aiten. Von A. Brand. Als ich von Herrn Geheimrat Prof. Dr. Engler den ehrenvollen Auf-trag erhielt, die Familie der Polemoniaceen für das »Pflanzenreich« zubearbeiten, faßte ich den Entschluß, mit der Durcharbeitung des Herbar-materials Beobachtungen an der lebenden Pflanze zu verbinden, soweit dasfür mich im Bereiche der Möglichkeit lag, da ich nur Topfkulturen imZimmer vornehmen konnte. 1. Cobaea. Anfang März wurden Samen von C. scandens Cav. und von C. ma-crostema Pav. in kleine Tüpfe gepflanzt. \m ersten Versuchsjahre standendie Töpfe auf einem Tische in der Nähe des Fensters und wurden mitWasser begossen, welches Zimmertemperatur hatte. Bei dieser Behandlungkamen die Samen von C. scandens nicht zur Keimung; C. macrostemakeimte am 13.—15. Tage nach der Aussaat. Im zweiten Versuchsjahrewurden die Töpfe an den Ofen gestellt und mit lauwarmem Wasser ge-gossen; nunmehr keimte C. scandens am 5.—8., C. macrostema am6. Tagebotanischejahrbu3619engl
