Summary

[edit]
Description
English: "Boğaziçi kebap" or Bosphorus kebab: Nowadays, restaurants in Turkey "invent" a new dish everyday. I doubt "Boğaziçi" kebab has any roots in Turkish cookery. However, it was tasty with sauteed vegetables (eggplants, courgette, pumpkin) and a slice of "rozbif" on top. Interestingly, other than the hard top cover of beef, the vegetable filling also had small pieces of veal. I took this plate as a similar of "elbasan tava"; and could have eaten it all the same under another name like "Kapadokya kebap" or whatever. The accompanying mashed potatoes could use some more milk.
