| Description |
Deutsch: Gebäude (1838) der ehemaligen Tapetenfabrik Witthoff[1] in Bornheim. Die Witwe des Fabrikanten verkaufte es 1883 an die Kölner Cellitinnen. Sie nutzten den Komplex als Kloster „Maria Hilf“, als Exerzitienhaus (nebst Hauswirtschaftsschule), Kinderheim und (von 1952 bis 1989) als Altenheim[2]. Das Kloster beherbergte im und kurz nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg eine Dependance der Bonner Universitätsklinik. Zuletzt wurden nur Teile des Baukomplexes genutzt (seit 1992 als Kindergarten). Das Bild zeigt die Eckfront mit den Statuetten Josephs von Nazareth (oben) und des Ortspatrons Donatus; im Vordergrund die Königstraße, die nach rechts abbiegt (links die Secundastraße).
