Deutsch: Eins von vielen Wegekreuzen in Bornheim. Es steht am Rondell Rilke- / Secunda- / Wallrafstraße (nahe dem Stadion). Seine auf dem Bild unleserliche Inschrift (unterhalb der Primeln) lautet: 1726 hat der ehrsamer [!] Junggese[lle] Henricus Bahr dieses Cruz zu Ehren der allerheiligster [!] Dryfaltigkeit aufrichde[n] lassen heisige [hiesige] her[r]schaftlicher gedr[e]uer Diener solange Jahr von bis (als wäre die Eintragung der Jahreszahlen über dem Tod des Stifters vergessen worden). Die Kirchenbücher der Gemeinde Hinsbeck bezeugen die Taufe eines Henricus Bahr am 20. Juli 1687. Der Stifter des Bornheimer Kreuzes war vielleicht ein Bediensteter des kurkölnischen Ministers Johann Jakob Freiherrn Waldbott von Bassenheim (1683–1755), Besitzers der Herrlichkeit Bornheim. Das Kreuz ist älter als das Schloss (Baubeginn 1728). |
