Description
English: Stone indicating the former border between France and Germany during the German occupation of Alsace-Lorraine (1871-1918). Near Bussang (Vosges, France). The letter D is for Deutschland. At the top, an encarved line (formerly painted in red) shows the direction of the previous and of the following stones. There were 4,056 stones like this one, with a distance of 60 meters between each. This one is the number 3092.
Français : Borne marquant l'ancienne frontière entre la France et l'Allemagne pendant l'occupation allemande de l'Alsace-Lorraine (1871-1918). Près de Bussang (Vosges). La lettre D représente l'Allemagne (Deutschland). Au sommet, une ligne gravée (et anciennement peinte en rouge) indique la direction de la borne précédente et de la borne suivante. Il y avait 4056 bornes espacées de 60 m environ de façon à pouvoir apercevoir la borne précédente et la borne suivante. Celle-ci est le n° 3092
