Sanitary measures areimportant and sometimes are suf-ficient to avoid an outbreak, butthe 1>est known method of pro-tection against the disease is theuse of anti-hog cholera serum atthe proper time. The State Ex-periment Station is prepared tofurnish this serum to the farmersfree of charge and will supply information and literature to allfarmers who request it. Demon-*strations are given from time totime at the station for the ben-»efit of those who wish to fa-,miliarize themselves with theuse of the serum. The State has gone to large ex-pense to protect the swine own-ers against the heavy losses thatare being sustained every year because of the prevalence of hogcholera.
