Other information: The publisher sent out to booksellers a sample dust jacket with an imprinted message. It showed where the retailer's name and address would appear. His niece Adele and nephew Walter are the young models, reading the red-covered book. They were photographed together while sitting on their kitchen table. These tidbits are mentioned in the newsletter, Hard Row to Hoe: Reviews from Rural America (mailbox address: Healdsburg, Calif.), Fall 2005 vol. 9 p. 2–3. It's linked in the author's article at reference 68.
