The middle divisions offer the best, cheapest andmost abundant fuel supply for manufacturing in theUnited States. The deepest and strongest natural gasfields to be found anywhere are in West Virginia, anddrift-mining of coal is possible in nearly every partof this State. Other deposits of high quality exist inabundance, such as iron-ore, limestone, dolomite, sandand clays. Villages of ten years ago are now thriving manu-facturing cities, with miles of paved streets, electric carlines, fine hotels, business blocks, schools and publicbuildings rivaling those of metropolitan cities.
