It has gun clubs, fish-ing clubs, boating clubs, automobile clubs,golf and country clubs. It has two largeand highly cultivated parks in the city limits,and there are two spacious athletic parks.There is a spacious summer theater andcasino in the suburbs. Two miles from thecity and reached by a fine driving boulevardare the fair grounds, which are accessiblealso by river, railroad and trolley cars. PARKERSBURG, W. VA.

The city is surrounded by fine gardeninglands and owing to the fine local marketand the proximity to the large cities of theOhio Valley, gardening and the raising offruits is very profitable. The largest green-house in the State is located at Parkersburg. Parkersburg is the most accessible pointin the State for public gatherings. Its rail-roads and rivers put it in close touch u^ith themost populous parts of West Virginia.
