Summary
[edit]DescriptionBonnington railway station (site), Edinburgh (geograph 4533367).jpg |
English: Bonnington railway station (site), Edinburgh Opened in 1846 on the North British Railway's branch line from Edinburgh Waverley (Canal Street until 1868) to Leith Citadel, this station closed to passengers in 1947. View south west towards Powderhall and Edinburgh. The former station building is still situated next to the road bridge, at the end of the Edinburgh-bound platform to the left. Due to space constraints, the Leith-bound platform is located more on the far side of the bridge. |
