Summary

[edit]
Description
English: The Bone Valley Trail near Hazel Creek in the Great Smoky Mountains of North Carolina, located in the Southeastern United States. Bone Valley is one of the most remote sections of the park, being a 15-mile hike from the nearest parking lot, or 7 miles if ferrying to Hazel Creek from Fontana. According to local legend, an entire herd of cattle froze here during an unexpected blizzard in the Spring of 1888, leaving bones scattered throughout the valley for years.
