Description
English: Bonby War Memorial. This cross in the churchyard commemorates thirteen men of Bonby who fell in the Great War. Of the thirteen, twelve were Privates and one, Walter Shearsmith, a Corporal. Cpl. Walter Shearsmith served in 5Bn Duke of Wellington's Regt. and earned the Military Medal and Bar. He was killed in France on 13th September 1918.
