Summary
[edit]DescriptionBonanza Caldera and Resurgent Dome.JPG |
English: The Bonanza Caldera and resurgent dome, located in Saguache County, Colorado. The floor of the Bonanza Caldera (33.2 Ma) is visible in the foreground, and the resurgent dome—the ridge of mountains—is seen in the distance. The caldera lies to the west of Villa Grove, Colorado. The three main peaks in the resurgent dome include Hayden Peak, Elkhorn Peak, and Whale Hill. The caldera is part of the San Juan volcanic field, which is part of the Southern Rocky Mountain volcanic field.[1][2] |
