Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Column of the Spanish newspaper Cartagena Nueva on November 28, 1936, denouncing the attack that from the sky suffered the city of Cartagena three days before. That airstrike was known for its duration as the "bombing of the four hours", and was executed by the Condor Legion, the air force sent from Nazi Germany to collaborate with the Nationalist faction in the Spanish Civil War.

Under the heading "A criminal attack" and the title "Cartagena, new victim of the factious aircraft", it reads:

Until last Wednesday, the incursions of the factious aviation in Cartagena had a military, warrior objective: to bomb the naval ships and the Arsenal; but the last bombing of the rebel planes had no other purpose than to kill defenseless, peaceful citizens, since bombs and explosive and incendiary bombs fell on the city, even in places hitherto respected by all international treaties, and if this were not enough, respected by all healthy and noble conscience. We refer to hospitals, because ours was hit by the warrior fanaticism of the rebels, causing victims, as it also produced them in a line train from Cartagena to La Unión, and of course in several places in the city and neighborhoods outside the walls.

It can be used where it is unknown whether any enhancements have been made, as well as when the enhancements are clear but insufficient. For known raw unenhanced scans you can use an appropriate {{PD-old}} tag instead. For usage, see Commons:When to use the PD-scan tag.
