| Description |
English: Bomb crater beside Auchenreoch Glen. It was only on a later visit that I confirmed that this is indeed a bomb crater; see 1691534.
This is a view of the crater from a point about 200 metres away; the deep glen of the Murroch Burn lay between the photographer and the subject. The snow covering and the low winter sun highlight the regular circular shape of the crater, which lies at the top of the slope, near (as the map shows) the point where Auchenreoch Glen meets up with the glen of the Murroch Burn. |
