| Description |
Irnerio - Via Altabella La Torre dei Guidozagni is one of about 20 noble towers still existing in the historical center of the city. The "modest" height (about 20 meters), the rectangular base and the low thickness of the base walls, clearly indicate that it was actually a house-tower. Probably built at the beginning of the 13th century, it was originally supposed to have a higher elevation, as it was reported that its upper part had collapsed in 1487 and destroyed the house that was connected to it. |
