English: Bolingbroke Castle, Old Bolingbroke Boring the test holes was slow until sand was met at 1.7m. A rock or a piece of rubble stopped progress at almost 2m and the extent of the moat was not found just here. When restoration work on the moat is completed, it will look nothing like it's looked for many, many years. |
