Stone monument inscribed in Mongolian

Summary

[edit]
Description
English: The Bogd Chagan Lam Monument was discovered in 1982 at Da'erjia Village (达尔架村) in Tumed Left Banner, on the western edge of Hohhot. The Mongolian inscription was written by the lama Perenglaijamsu (Mongolian ᠫᠧᠷᠡᠩᠯᠠᠶᠢᠵᠠᠮᠰᠤ; Chinese 普凌来扎木苏), and is a eulogy for the Bogd Chagan Lama (Mongolian ᠪᠣᠭᠳᠠ ᠴᠠᠭᠠᠨ ᠯᠠᠮᠠ; Chinese 博格多察罕喇嘛) Rashijamsu (Mongolian ᠷᠠᠰᠢᠵᠠᠮᠰᠤ; Chinese 拉西扎木苏) who died in 1627. On display in the lobby of the Institute of Mongolian Studies (building opposite the Ethnic Museum) at the Inner Mongolia University, Hohhot.
