Bodružalská drevená cerkva svojou jedinečnou architektúrou tvorí prirodzenú dominantu obce. Jej zemepisná šírka je 49˚21'10" a dĺžke 21˚42'26".

Pôdorys cerkvi tvorí vstupné podvežie, vlastná takmer štvorcová loď so štvorcovou otvorenou zrubovou kupolou a svätyňa (malé štvorcové presbytérium). Tieto priestory sú oddelené ikonostasom. Oltár je orientovaný na východ. Interiér v predsieni je obložený doskami, v lodi je zrub.

Cerkva má bohato členenú stupňovitú šindľovú strechu s troma sa zvyšujúcimi cibuľovými vežičkami s kovovými krížmi neskorého baroka. Zrubová stavba je zvonka krytá vertikálnymi doskami s krycími lištami. Areál kostola obklopuje zrubová ohrada – palánok;
