Bodicote: Spectacle buckle
Description
English: A copper alloy spectacle buckle. The buckle has two equal-sized oval loops; the outside edge of each loop is ridged or bilobed, although one such side is missing, as is the pin. There are two small knops at either end of the strap bar. The buckle is 40.88mm long, 26.38mm wide and 2.6mm thick. It weighs 3.1gms and dates to between 1450 and 1650.
