English: Woman's dress bodice of blue taffeta with ecru lace trim, 19th century construction- originally hand sewn; with - machine stitched repairs blue silk midriff bodice with scooped neckline lined with calico; seven bones (2 back, 2 each side and 3 at front); pleated ribbon in two layers around neck and one pleated ribbon around sleeves trimming- - pleated ribbon around neck (two layers) and sleeves - handmade Bedfordshire lace around neckline and sleeves (above and below pleated ribbon) - blue velvet ribbon laced around neckline - black cord lacing at back |
