Description
Deutsch: Bodenwerder (Niedersachsen), Weserstraße 9, sog. Bremer Lagerhaus, Baujahr 1604

Das Lagerhaus wurde von dem Bremer Überseekaufmann Jürgen Kremer und seiner verwitweten Schwester Maria Silpes errichtet. Auf den beiden Torständern befinden sich die Namen und Initialen der beiden Bauherrschaften.
Es handelt sich um ein giebelständiges, sechs Gefache breites Fachwerkhaus, zweigeschossig mit Zwischengeschoss. Das Fachwerk des Dachgeschosses ist durch Fußbänder und Andreaskreuze stabilisiert. Die Brüstungen von Zwischengeschoss und Obergeschoss sind mit Fächerrosetten geschmückt, die Füllhölzer zeigen Zahn- und Zackenfriese. Der heute verschlossene ehemalige Torbogen weist ein Zickzackmuster auf. Folgende Inschriften sind zu lesen:

  • Auf einem Balken über der Tür

  • Über den Fenstern im Ergeschoss rechts
    DVRCH ARBEIT GOT VERKAVFFE THVT ·DE MESCHE HAAB VND GVT / WOZV DV NICHT HAST RVH VND LVSTFAH NICHT AN HAST NVR VERDRVSS
    (Durch Arbeit verkauft Gott den Menschen Hab und Gut. Wozu du nicht hast Ruh’ und Lust, fang’s nicht an, hast nur Verdruss.)
  • Über dem verschlossenen Torbogen
