Black and white image featuring a view of the Board of Trade Building and a horse-drawn wagon for the Henry C. Werner Company, a wholesale boots, shoes, and rubbers company. A feature of its work was the conducting of buyers' excursions, which brought hundreds of merchants into Columbus to do their trading. The Board had a permanent fund for the entertainment of the numerous conventions which met here. The building housed its headquarters and an auditorium. It opened on July 23rd, 1889 and closed in August of 1964. It was demolished in December of 1969 to clear space for the Rhodes State Office Tower. |
