Description:

Boîte rectangulaire plate en écaille incrustée d'or. Couvercle monté à charnière apparente.Cette boîte illustre la technique du posé d'or en jouant du piqué d'or et de l'or incrusté et gravé.

Description iconographique:

Cette boîte est décorée de sujets inspirés de l'Extrême-Orient. Sur le couvercle, un seigneur oriental trône sous un dais. Des personnages chinois se prosternent devant lui et un dignitaire s'adresse à lui. Au fond apparait un palais. Sur le dessous figure un seul personnage en costume oriental, assis près d'un arbre.
