Description
Italiano: Musei Vaticani, Museo Chiaramonti, Braccio Nuovo. Pavone in bronzo dorato, 130-140 d.C., Questo e l'altro della coppia provengono probabilmente dalla decorazione dal Mausoleo di Adriano. Dalla zona del mausoleo furono trasferiti nel quadriportico della basilica costantiniana di San Pietro, ad ornamento del cosiddetto Cantaro al cui centro era posta anche la grande pigna di bronzo. Nel 1608 furono spostati nel Cortile della Pigna e infine conservati all'interno, nel Braccio Nuovo del Museo Chiaramonti.
