Description

(looking upstream) (13 September 2015)

The gravel bars in this creek are composed of a mixture of siliciclastic sedimentary rocks plus minor fossiliferous limestone plus occasional chert ("flint"), all derived from upstream outcrops of the Pottsville Group (upper Lower Pennsylvanian to lower Middle Pennsylvanian).

Locality: Blunt Run (= east-flowing tributary of the Muskingum River), Muskingum Township, north-central Muskingum County, eastern Ohio, USA (vicinity of 40° 01' 45.12" North, 81° 59' 51.10" West)
