Description

This classic 1840s style banjo was designed and crafted by master craftsman Eddie Hamrick of Hamrick Woodwright, Hickory, NC in 2012. Handcrafted, this banjo is made of maple and walnut with an American flag on the head, the U.S. Presidential seal engraved on the front of the body and Uncle Sam engraved on the back, a suede strap inscribed with “Bluegrass One,” and mother of pearl tuning pegs. The banjo was presented to President Obama during a visit to Charlotte, North Carolina for the 2012 Democratic National Convention.
