Description

For Sale: Blue-eyed Cicada: $1 million dollars. Yes, we have a specimen of the extremely rare blue-eyed Cicada. On the Internet you will see plenty of articles debunking the idea that they are worth $1,000. That is true, no one that we know of will sell you one for $1,000. But the Bee Lab has found a blue eyed specimen (actually it was Jonathan Mawdsley, who technically is only located at the lab but we consider him an honorary lab member) and we won't sell it for $1,000 but will sell it for a million. OK, technically (again), we can't actually accept any money, so, sadly, we will just deposit it in the Smithsonian, right next to the Hope Diamond, otherwise we would definitely sell it. Species: Magicicada cassinii. Why does it have blue eyes?: unknown, the others have bright red eyes. We Are Made One with What We Touch and See

We are resolved into the supreme air, We are made one with what we touch and see, With our heart's blood each crimson sun is fair, With our young lives each spring impassioned tree Flames into green, the wildest beasts that range The moor our kinsmen are, all life is one, and all is change.
