Description

Last edited on Aug. 27, 2015 Original description: "English: Basaltic scoria (about 8 cm large) coming from Amsterdam island  ; blue iridescent color could be caused by interferences phenomenon in a thin and smooth layer of hematit (Fe2O3)"

Original-size figure is 200% of <a href="File:Scoria_AmsterdamIsland_2_edit.jpg" rel="nofollow">commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Scoria_AmsterdamIsland_2_...</a>
