| Description |
English: Blocked cave entrance above Llygad Llwchwr. There are plenty of warning signs here about the dangers of caving, but they seem redundant since the cave entrance has been blocked with a wall of rocks and cement. Perhaps all is not lost: the dark region in the top right of the photograph seems to be an opening since you can feel a breeze emerging from it. I would never fit through it, but a dedicated caver might.
There are other caves in the national park that have not been blocked like this one. One rumour is that heavy metals from cavers' batteries were polluting the river. |
