English: High resolution auxiliary image of the blind school in Königs-Wusterhausen, Brandenburg, Germany. This image is compared to the image File:Blinden Schule KW 31 Fotos Mercator.jpg and helps to show the difference between the Mercator and rectilinear projectons by stitching of areas, ca. 90 degree. Both images have the same import data and field of view. The two were created using the Microsoft Image Composite Editor. However, this image was created in the rectiliniar (perspective) projection. As a preview image, it looks more realistic than the Mercator image it is being compared to. But this image doesn't convey the feeling of space well, is significantly larger (350 MP vs. 220 MP) and has other disadvantages. Some details of the two images are compared in Video File:Blinden Schule KW 31 Fotos Mercator vs Rectilinear.webm. This very large image can be opened by Microsoft Photos, for example.
Deutsch: Hochauflösendes Hilfsbild der Blindenschule in Königs-Wusterhausen, Brandenburg, Deutschland. Dieses Bild wird mit dem Bild File:Blinden Schule KW 31 Fotos Mercator.jpg verglichen und hilft dabei, den Unterschied zwischen den Mercator- und geradlinigen Projektionen zu verdeutlichen. Beide Bilder haben die gleichen Importdaten und das gleiche Sichtfeld. Die beiden wurden mit dem Microsoft Image Composide Editor erstellt. Dieses Bild wurde jedoch in geradliniger (rectilinear) Projektion erstellt. Als Vorschaubild sieht es realistischer aus als das Mercator-Bild, mit dem es verglichen wird. Doch dieses Bild vermittelt das Raumgefühl nicht gut, ist deutlich größer (350 MP vs. 220 MP) und hat weitere Nachteile.
