The Kelbra dam in the Helme Watershed (Middle Germany). On the right the half-empty lake in winter. The dry bottom of the lake is 2 m higher than left, outside of the lake. That means silt accumulation and shorten lifespan.

Rechts die Höhe im Inneren des Sees ist etwa 2 m höher als links außerhalb des Sees, d.h. das sich etwa 2 m Schlick angesammelt haben. Bald wird der See vollständig mit Schlick gefüllt sein, wenn man nicht ernsthaft Bodenschutzmaßnahmen im oberen Einzugsgebiet durchführt. Im Hintergrund das Kyffhäusergebirge. |
