Summary
[edit]DescriptionBleak House, Middlewood Road, Hillsborough, Sheffield - geograph.org.uk - 1184523.jpg |
English: Bleak House, Middlewood Road, Hillsborough, Sheffield. Nothing to do with Charles Dickens ... or is it? Situated almost opposite the Hillsborough Park Lodge and featured on many post cards of the Hillsborough area. Built in the early 1900's when the original Sheffield Trams 'rattled past' on their way out to the Middlewood Terminus. The current Sheffield Supertrams now 'glide past' on their way to the Yellow Route's Park'n'Ride (also) at Middlewood, powered by the overhead 'lines' running across the top of the picture. 1182227 737915 |
