| Description |
Français : Blasonnement : "de gueules à la croix engrêlée d'or à franc quartier d'argent, au lion de sable". Ornement : la couronne avait pour signification l'autonomie d'une ville libre, mais peut être aussi avec la présence du Château fort, construit en 1099 par Robert comte de Flandres. Les palmes vertes présentent souvent une ville martyre. Enfin, la croix de guerre obtenue le 16 septembre 1920, pour citation à l'ordre de l'armée, au cours de la Grande Guerre contre l'Allemagne et ses alliés. |
