Description
English: This is a historical blank SVG map of Pakistan's divisions at the time of the 2017 Population & Housing Census of Pakistan. They totalled 36 in number at the time (including Islamabad Capital Territory & the Federally Administered Tribal Areas).
  • Three divisions in Azad Kashmir: Mirpur, Muzaffarabad, Poonch
  • Six divisions in Balochistan: Makran, Nasirabad, Qalat, Quetta, Sibi, Zhob
  • Three divisions in Gilgit-Baltistan: Diamer, Gilgit, Skardu
  • Seven divisions in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: Bannu, Dera Ismail Khan, Hazara, Kohat, Malakand, Mardan, Peshawar
  • Nine divisions in Punjab: Bahawalpur, Dera Ghazi Khan, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Lahore, Multan, Rawalpindi, Sahiwal, Sargodha
  • Six divisions in Sindh: Hyderabad, Karachi, Larkana, Mirpur Khas, Shaheed Benazirabad, Sukkur
  • One division serving as the federal capital: Islamabad Capital Territory
  • One division serving as a directly administered federal territory: Federally Administered Tribal Areas

This map was made using QGIS and Inkscape, and the sources for it include raster data from the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics for internal divisional borders and IPUMS' World Map GIS data for international borders. It uses the Mercator Projection.
