Description |
English: A green and brown frog with dark brown spots floats in reeds covered with algae. Blanchard's Cricket Frogs (Acris blanchardi) were once recognized as a subspecies (A. crepitans blanchardi) of the Acris crepitans, but Gamble et al. (2008) recommended that they be recognized as a distinct species. Blanchard's can be found in wetlands, ponds, and near agricultural rows ranging from Michigan to Texas.
