Description

Random rubble and brick, brick stacks, left-hand with stone tile half-hipped roof, right-hand thatch hipped roof. Sundial and pump: 1815. Pennant and limestone ashlar. Square plan. Plinth with a lion head and water pipe, over a Pennant basin; chamfered square shaft with a lantern head, sundial to one face and heraldic panels to the others, and a bronze flag on the top. http://www.heritagegateway.org.uk/Gateway/Results_Single.aspx?resourceID=5&uid=379695

Arranged by Harford for his retired employees. Part of an irregular composition forming '...the nec plus ultra of picturesque layout and design,' (Pevsner). Blaise Hamlet is Grade I listed and owned by the National Trust: the cottages are not open to visitors.
