| Description |
English: Blackpool Standard tram No. 40 & Glasgow tram No. 22 at Crich Tramway Village The Blackpool tram was built in 1926. The Glasgow tram was built in 1922 and withdrawn in 1960, although it subsequently returned to Glasgow in 1988 for the Glasgow Garden Festival. Both trams have open balconies on the top deck. The Glasgow system was the biggest in Scotland and the second biggest in the UK (after London). It closed in 1962. The Blackpool system is still running. |
