Summary

English: Blackford Blackford, a village which is adding its trading advantage on the A9 to the traditional whisky distilling, seen from Eastbow Hill above Glen Eagles. The new A9 bypass and the railway pass either side of the village.
The sandhills that led to the golf courses at Gleneagles Hotel can be seen to the right, the ones near Blackford are still agricultural and are heavily stocked with game birds, another staple pastime for Gleneagles guests. Beyond are the Braes of Doune with a power station (wind) and eventually the Highlands. |
