English: Black kites, better known in Australia as fork-tailed kites, float lazily over town and plains in the Boulia Shire, scavenging whatever scraps they can. They have greatly benefited from the construction of roads, feeding on the roadkill strewn along the Diamantina Developmental Road and other roads.
