Summary
[edit]DescriptionBlack Barrow, New Forest - geograph.org.uk - 184435.jpg |
English: Black Barrow, New Forest. The sandy knoll of Black Barrow stands on its own piece of heathland, bordered by Dockens Water to the northwest and farmland to the southeast. It is connected to Black Heath at its southern end and to the open forest by a dusty gravel track at its northern end. The knoll itself is not listed as an ancient monument, so it is probably only a barrow in the "hill" sense of the word. |
