Description

Black-shouldered Kite, Elanus axillaris +=================+ Eyes on the landing spot. The star picket in the paddock made a perferct spot for this one to lock on to. As their aerial skills improved, they became more confident with our presence. Author Jon Young, says, "It's a full-contact sport...the birds pick up on our attitude instantly and tell us the truth—if only we are prepared to hear it."
