Description

Black-shouldered Kite, Elanus axillaris, , Little Eagle, Hieraaetus morphnoides +===========+ Belle, the Black-shouldered Kite has a lot to defend at the moment with a nest of unfledged young.

Uncharacteristically, it was a full strike, feather detritus is still fying.

This is one Angry Bird.

She is I think the largest Black-shouldered KIte, I have met. at least 1/3rd size larger than Bronson, her mate
