Description

Bléré (Indre-et-Loire)

Moulin-cavier des Aigremonts (reconstitution).

Le moulin cavier est un moulin à vent qui comprend un corps mobile supportant les ailes et contenant un système mécanique de renvoi du mouvement.

La partie mobile (la hucherolle) repose sur une maçonnerie conique.

L'ensemble est construit au-dessus d'une cave (d'où le nom), à l'intérieur de laquelle se trouvent les meules.

The windmill "cavier" is a windmill which comprises a movable body supporting the wings and contains a mechanical removal of the movement.

The movable part (the "hucherolle") rests on a conical masonry.

The assembly is built on top of a cellar (cellar = "cave", hence its name), within which there are the grinding wheels.
