[edit]DescriptionBison at South Twin Lake (35466380512).jpg |
NPS/Patrick Myers On a recent ranger-guided hike, a small herd of bison approached South Twin Lake for a drink while the group watched from a small dune above the lake. Bison are currently managed within park boundaries by The Nature Conservancy. On the hike, visitors touched artifacts, meteorites, antlers, a mammoth tooth, and a prehistoric camel tooth; tasted edible plants; listened to frogs and toads; smelled flowers; and saw bison, wetland birds, historic sites, and amazing panoramic views! |
