Title
Bishops Tawton: buckle, post medieval
Description
English: Cast copper alloy rectangular buckle, with central bar. It is decorated with diagonal incised lines along the sides where the pin would have rested. The corners are sub-rounded. There is iron corrosion on parts of the frame, suggesting it may have been in contact with an iron object. It is probably 17th century in date.
